Sweet and Sour Beef - Subuta Recipe


Subuta - means vinegar and pork in Japanese, although personally, I think beef produces a better flavour. The sauce is quite complicated to make from scratch but don't fear...you can make it easily with Citrus and Soya Dressing!!

*1tbs olive oil
*500g beef steak - cubed
*3-5 tbs corn flour
*1 onion (sliced)
*1 red or green capsicum (sliced)
*2 pieces of garlic (chopped)

sauce mix
*100ml water
*2 tbs SAORI Citrus and Soya Dressing
*2 tbs tomato sauce
*1 tbs brown sugar

1: roll cubed beef in corn flour
2: stir fry beef and garlic in olive oil until cooked
3: add capsicum and onion and stir fry for 3 mins
4: pour in sauce mix and cook until the sauce thickens
5: enjoy your homemade Japanese meal at home
